A registered nurse is present onsite 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our team of nursing staff consists of the Director of Nursing, R.N. Nursing Supervisors, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks. Our team also consists of a Restorative Aide and Restorative Nurse for our long-term residents.
The comprehensive nursing staff provides the daily care for our residents. 24-hour care is provided to fulfill residents’ needs as well as the skilled nursing care for administering certain procedures.
Mon Valley Care Center has 60 skilled nursing beds in semi-private and private settings, offering a variety of customized specialty nursing services and programs to its residents including:
Stroke rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, general surgery care and rehabilitation, IV therapy, wound care management, diabetes management, pain management, hospice care, long-term care, restorative nursing by restorative nurse and restorative aide.
Your primary care physician or our medical director are an active part of your care received at Mon Valley Care Center. On-site consultation services are available for psychiatric, dental, audiological, opthalmological, physical medicine and rehab, urology, wound care, and podiatry.
The registered dietician reviews and meets with each resident to develop an individualized plan of care. Each resident's unique dietary needs and preferences are considered when developing their customized meal plan.
The licensed social worker provides assistance to the residents and family members. This includes discharge planning to ensure the resident has all of their needs met upon returning home, assistance with long-term placement if necessary, as well as providing resources and guidance in financial planning.
